Calendar

Events, recurrence, layers — every dated thing in one grid.

What it does

  • Five views: Month (expandable week rows + agenda card), Week and Day (hour grids with duration blocks and a now-line), Year (cluster heat), Timeline.
  • Recurring events: standard and custom rules, skip-a-date exceptions, series editing.
  • All-day vs timed events; multi-hour blocks sized by duration.
  • Lead-time reminders per event ("remind 30 min before") through the push engine.
  • LAYERS: per-person shift dots (from Work Schedule), leave spans, habit check-in dots, timed tasks — each toggleable, choices persist per device.
  • Header quick-adds: event, shift exception, and leave without leaving the page.
  • ICS subscriptions: follow external calendars read-only (school, sports team).
  • People on events (who's going) with avatar chips; events appear on their profiles.
  • Shared filter panel (same grammar as Search): types, people, spaces.
  • Coverage gaps and expiries surface as calendar entries where relevant.

How to use it

  • Tap a day to expand its week row in place; the agenda card follows.
  • Use the header toggles for shift/habit layers — tap = all, long-press = per person.
  • Add exceptions from the calendar, not the Work Schedule module — faster.
  • Subscribe an ICS feed once via the subscriptions popup; it refreshes itself.

Links and tags

  • Link people to events → their profiles collect what's coming.
  • Link a checklist or supplies to an event (needs) — prep rides the date.
  • Timed tasks join the grid automatically — no duplicate "fake events".

Best used for

  • The family week with both parents' shifts and the kids' school feed.
  • Trip itineraries with day-by-day plans.

Smart touches

  • Flip the Habits layer on during a new-habit month — the dots make the story visible.
  • Use remind-before on leave-for-airport events, not alarm apps.
