The short version: graphite is pre-launch, and the demo is a playground.
Where things stand
Graphite is pre-launch. The demo is provided as-is for evaluation, and the hosted service is not yet sold. These terms will be replaced by a complete agreement before paid accounts open.
Acceptable use
- Don't use the demo to store anything real, private or sensitive — it is shared and reset on a schedule.
- Don't attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service.
- Don't use graphite for anything unlawful.
Availability
No uptime is promised during the pre-launch period, and the demo may be reset, moved or taken down at any time.
Self-hosting
If you run graphite on your own hardware, you are the operator: the backups, the security of your server and the data on it are yours.
